Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; they are self-supporting through their own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Their primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
AA meets in the parish hall on Sundays at 6:30 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.; and Fridays at 12:00 p.m.
Fayette Samaritans
Fayette Samaritans is a Christian ministry serving those in need in Fayette County Georgia. They provide food, clothing and financial assistance for selected emergency needs.
Fayette Samaritans is supported by more than fifty area churches, businesses, civic organizations, and individuals. Fayette Samaritans is housed in its own 2400 square foot facility, located at 126 Hickory Road, behind the Fayetteville Christian Church.The people of St. Andrew’s hold month-long collection drives periodically throughout the year for Fayette Samaritans.
Good Works Crew
The Good Works Crew is an opportunity for parishioners to participate in quarterly service projects, helping those in our community. Examples include: sorting food at a food pantry; building the framework for a home; or serving meals at a soup kitchen. Projects for the Good Works Crew will be announced ahead of time, so you can sign up as your interest and availability allows. The focus will be on projects where special skillsets are not required, just a willingness to work hard and do good works!

Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee organizes various fundraising and donation drives throughout the year, including Thanksgiving baskets for those in need, semi-annual food drives for the Fayette Samaritans, and collecting Christmas toys for the children of Emmaus House.

Overeaters Anonymous
Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a twelve-step program for people with problems related to food including, but not limited to, compulsive overeaters, those with binge eating disorder, bulimics and anorexics. Anyone with a problematic relationship with food is welcomed. OA meets in the parish hall on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.
United Thank Offering
The United Thank Offering is a personal and family devotional program of the Episcopal Church. UTO began in 1889 and remains vital today because it is based on the sound theological premise that it is good to give thanks to God. At St. Andrew’s in the Pines, we have the ‘Blue Boxes’ available in the narthex during Lent for our parishioners to pick up and bring home with them, where they keep it in a convenient place and take a moment everyday to say thank you to God and put a coin in the box. Our Ingatherings take place on Easter Day when we collect the boxes, from which the offerings are sent to the Diocese of Atlanta. Together with offerings of hundreds of thousands of Episcopalians, grants are funded. The UTO committee screens grant proposals in areas of women missionaries; building fund loans; scholarships for women; overseas development funds and other worthy causes.
